Media & speaking

Don’t sell. Build trust and educate.

Nothing “sells” better than educating people from the stage, whether that’s a live conference audience, broadcast TV and radio, or a webinar or podcast. A company’s credibility climbs when it has experts who can speak on stage, present on video and hold a prospect’s attention.

That’s true for consumer sales, and even more so for B2B. I’ve done it on camera and on stage, and I can help your leaders do the same, with best-in-class local and national partners when a project calls for them.

Today, people still buy from people. Having someone from the C-suite actively representing your brand, face to face, belongs in every growth strategy.

How I work

Business as a force for good.

I’ve spent three decades in marketing and business development, from Intel and U-Haul to founding Diner’s Passport™ and the strategy agency Incendo Marketing™. I’ve worked with fast-growth software companies like Infusionsoft and recently finished my term as Board Chair of St. Joseph the Worker. Along the way I picked up a US patent and a lot of respect for the people who do the work.

I’m a longtime ambassador and supporter of Conscious Capitalism. It shapes how I think about growth: value created fairly lasts longer than value extracted. I’m selective about partners and work best with leaders who share these principles, or are curious to learn more about them.

Conscious Business diagram: four overlapping circles for Purpose, Stakeholder, Leadership and Culture

Diagram used by permission of Conscious Capitalism, Inc.

  • Higher purpose

Looking beyond pure profit to an inspiring mission that serves people, society or the planet.

  • Stakeholder orientation

Balancing the whole ecosystem: customers, employees, suppliers, investors, communities and the environment.

  • Conscious leadership

Leading through service, long-term vision and mentoring rather than self-interest or short-term gains.

  • Conscious culture

A humane workplace built on trust, care, transparency and integrity.
